Boise, Idaho
Boise is a centrally located Idaho metropolis where living costs are pretty affordable, seasons are relatively temperate, and the overall metropolitan location of the city is central to the company. Wyoming, Colorado, and Montana are on the east, Utah and Nevada are to the south, Washington and Oregon are west, and California is adjacent.
Prices are in traditional midwest ranges, but slightly less than places like Minnesota or Illinois. Winters are robust, but summers are hot; and a great variety of woods and mountains abound. Idaho is a very picturesque place.
Colorado Springs, Colorado
Colorado Springs is the second largest city in Colorado. It’s an hour south of Denver, forty minutes north of Pueblo, and a few hours’ drive west of the Colorado border. It’s nestled right against the Rockies, and the population has been seeing considerable expansion in recent years. A number of solid and burgeoning industries define the place, and it’s got deep history.
In addition to all these things, property is actually quite affordable in Colorado Springs, and the city has much local character. There’s a collegiate scene, real night life, real class, and real intrigue. Colorado, generally, is one of the nicest places to live in the country—though there’s been a heavy influx from California in recent years.
Still, Denver is to the north, and between Boulder and the mile-high city are the preponderance of extra-Coloradan travelers. Colorado Springs is growing collaterally, but it hasn’t been sand-blasted with migrants from California as Denver has. Accordingly, it’s just seeing a comfortable growth spurt.
