I’ve been looking at surveys on mens fitness sites and the common denominator on all of them seems to be getting a ripped midrift. Every athlete or trainer is in search of this “treasure trove” of aesthetics to take their physical game to the next level. In this post, I’m going to discuss 6 pack secrets that I have used over the years to achieve my cut abs. ( Male models use lighting, photography, make-up etc. to enhance the look of the abs–but they do have impressive abs. You cant fake what you dont have!)
How To Get A Six Pack
Okay, so first things first. The first foremost order of business is to make sure your body fat is low enough to show your abs because without this important detail you can work on your mid section for hours and still see no signs. So in actuality, the best 6 pack abs exercise is your prefered high intensity interval training method, whether it may be sprint intervals on a treadmill, hills, running stairs, “suicides” and/or “17’s”( basketball conitioning drills that burn fat like anything!), shuttle runs, bodyweight intervals etc. My preferred method is a combination of sprint intervals, bodyweight circuits, jumping rope or basketball drills during the week or 2 of the 4 methods blended together during 1 workout. I will go into detail on interval training in another post.
(These guys are running it pretty slow obviously for the purpose of the video but when doing these you have to sprint them and they are killer! I’ve done these many a time for every coach i’ve played for and they bring out the “expletive capabilities” in you LOL)After torching the fat with intervals, you can then use a few core exercises to build up the strength and stability in the midrift. This is where many people may go wrong. Firstly, they do not use the fat burning procedures outlined above to get rid of the fat first and then attack the rectus abdominis muscle. Instead they start of by doing doing endless crunches and then complaining about lack of results. You Can Do It Too!
Best Way To Get Abs
I’m sure you have heard at one time or another “that we all have 6 pack abs—they’re just hiding under a layer of fat”. Fortunately this is of the old sayings that is true. The definition that appears on a persons body is a revelation of the tendons that cover the main abdominal muscle which is called the rectus abdominis and every single person— yes, that includes you, so you can stop giving me that look —– has these tendons. So the only priority really is to get the body fat levels low enough to show your abs by using intervals and being really in tune with your nutrition and then, hitting the ab exercises. I will cover the ab exercises I’ve used and read about that give you the most bang for your buck.
