Elton John might not be the boss in the world (Or maybe he is? Who makes these rules, anyway?) but Dublin rapper Rejjie Snow has managed to carve out a fanbase of more credible fans in the shape of Lorde and Kendrick Lamar.
His undulating rhymes have a distinctive flow and Snow occasionally throws a humanitarian curveball into his lyrical subject matter (‘Lost in Empathy’ is about the killing of albinos in Africa), away from the dollar bills and sex scenes that dominate mainstream hip-hop.
