The history surrounding the Nabataean Empire is still unknown to many archeologists, but the beautifully carved caves and temples show their sophistication. 

To reach Petra, you will have to take a three-hour drive from the city of Jordan. Some parts of this historical place are off-limits for tourists as they can fall at any moment. Also, many tour companies can take you there, along with an English speaking guide. Rest assured, you will not regret visiting such a historic landmark with an air of mystery surrounding it.
