How to Clean Windows Without Streaks

  • Remove the stains: Your window could have accumulated various stains, marks, including bird droppings and even flecks of paint. You need to remove all these from the surface of the glass to ensure that the cleaning process does not result in streaks. Take some water and add white vinegar or vinegar-based cleaning solution. Now, spray the mixture onto the stain and let it sit for 5-10 minutes. After this, you should be able to remove the stain with a wet sponge. Additionally, you can also scrape the persistent stain with a razor as well. If you want to go ahead and call in the professionals, then just search online for chemical suppliers in perth.
  • Vacuum your windows: Before you use a wet sponge to clean your window thoroughly, you may want to vacuum your windows first. Just vacuum the windows and remove all the excess dirt and grime that would have accumulated over the months. This should enable your sponge to remain a little cleaner, as you use it to clean the windows. Or you can just Google search for window cleaner bristol and get them to handle the project for you.
  • Clean the windows: First, hose off the windows and remove the excess dirt and grime build-up. Once that is done, you may want to move to the next stage of the process which includes mixing up the cleaning solution. Use a clean bucket and mix up equal parts of white vinegar along with water. You can also add 1 tsp of liquid dishwashing detergent to the mixture, along with professional window cleaning solution. Your mixture is now ready and you can start to use the same to clean your windows.
  • Scrub: It would be advisable to use a clean sponge or clean the already used sponge so that it is clean. Now dip the sponge into the mixture, remove the excess mixture by gently squeezing it and then, apply the sponge onto the surface of the windowpane. Apply gentle pressure as you move the sponge along so that there is an even coating. There is no set motion that you have to use to clean your windows. You can move the sponge from left to right or right to left. You can use circular motions or even vertical ones but just make sure that you cover the whole pane. You need to cover the whole area to ensure that all dirt and grime is removed from the windowpane altogether. Once you have applied the detergent, you may want to wait for a couple of minutes before opting to wash the same. You can now pat it dry and the window should be sparkling and clean. You can now move onto the other windows and repeat the process.
  • Squeegee: You can also use the squeegee to clean the windows. After you apply the window cleaning mixture to the windows, use the squeegee or at least the rubber part of the same. And move the squeegee from left to right and as you do, ensure that the rubber end stays in contact with the window pane at all times. Then pat it dry with a lint-free cloth.
