Just like All-On-4 dental implants, traditional dental implants can also be used for replaced multiple missing teeth. However, the difference is that – traditional dental implants can also be used for replacing just one or two missing teeth. 

In traditional dental implants, the types of restorations utilised can be varied, such as dental bridges, dental crowns or even dentures, for replacing individual, multiple or an entire set of teeth. 

It should be known that the time taken in traditional dental implants will be more than performing All-On-4 dental implants. This is because if the patient’s jawbone is not enough, then bone grafting might be carried out along with sinus augmentation before any dental implant could be installed. Moreover, the jawbone, after the aforementioned procedures, can take weeks or even months to properly heal. 

Patients who don’t require sinus augmentation or bone grafting may still require at least six months to properly heal from the dental implant surgery. However, with All-On-4 dental implant treatments, since you may not need sinus augmentation or bone grafting, the healing time will be shorter.
