What Exactly is Purified Water and How Does it Function?
The water in your tap is a mixture of total dissolved substances. The amount of TD varies depending on water source, and is typically between 170 and 400 parts per millions (ppm).
When you spray tap water on the glass, it will dry with spots and marks. The dissolved solids left behind by water after it has evaporated are what causes these marks and spots.
Pure water, which contains just a few ppm TD will leave no marks or spots behind after the water dries. Pure water is much more efficient than tap water at cleaning. It is because of its low TDS concentration that it acts as an active solvent, which “pulls” the dirt out of the glass and dissolves. This leaves your windows cleaner longer.
